Who decided that Hayden Panettiere was interesting?

The Jesus-lovin' US of A. And the geeks.

This isn't about what Hayden Panettiere does in her day-to-day schedule but rather about what she doesn't do. Or doesn't appear to do. Around here, she is an oddity—a perky young celebrity who is as pure as the driven snow. And not that kind of snow.

I can see how the Panettiere phenomenon could be confusing to someone living outside the Los Angeles Rehab Belt. But consider how often we're treated to Mount Britney blubbering into her wigs or yet another report about how Lindsay is doing in that rehab hidey-hole in Utah, and things should become quite clear.
An 18-year-old TV star who seems to have resisted the candy-like appeal of prescription pills and the virgin-white dazzle of the coke spoon?

A famous teenager who shuns the ever revolving squadron of supertatted, pseudo-bad-boy pop rockers that have become the go-to dating pool for Nicole Richie and Ashlee Simpson?

A girl—a blonde, even—who can stand obediently on the red carpet in a ball gown without facing questions about a sex tape or DUI?

Now that's interesting.

Yes, she says, she has been to clubs where they serve alcohol, but, she claims, that's about it.
"I can honestly say I have never seen or touched a drug in my life," Panettiere told a reporter last month.

The first group to anoint Hayden as something other than a bland former child star was the Heroes viewership. Save the cheerleader, save the world and all that. And Panettiere, as the indestructible high school student in that hit show, just happened to be said cheerleader.

If the Heroes catchphrase happened to be Please God Make Masi Oka Stop Squealing Like a Girl, Panettiere might have ended up as just another ensemble castmember, wedged somewhere between Greg Grunberg's paunch and that kid who can talk to machines.

"Looks like she's the luckiest girl in town," X17online.com West Coast editor Tomm Taylor says. "I imagine there are so many 18-year-olds that really envy her."

The next group to discover Panettiere and add to her fame: horny older men. Perhaps you've caught a whiff of the pedophilic craving wafting around our golden girl-woman, who just turned 18. If you can find a copy of the June 29 issue of Entertainment Weekly that isn't totally stuck together, you'll understand my point.

One last aspect to Hayden's fame: the wait. Right now, America loves her because she dresses real pretty and won't turn America's kids into needle-wielding skinheads.

But now comes the media vigil: Will Hayden fall pregnant by Milo Ventimiglia? Will her success go to her head, forcing her into apoplexy if she fails to find that her trailer has not been filled with her daily supply of white calla lilies?

It's the same reason why Miley Cyrus—who we have just learned is still a virgin, y'all—recently made the cover of People. Is she pregnant now? Now?

How about now? Pure. It's the new fascinating.

She Sure Likes Older Men

Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere enjoyed lunch at Cafe Primo in Los Angeles on Friday. She was joined by Entourage star Kevin Connolly.

Milo’s going to be jealous!

I have come to the decision that I won't be posting anything that Perez Hilton says about Hayden anymore for one reason, he hates on her for no reason, all the trash he talks about her, he can not justify he is a cruel hurtful person, and it bore's me. The only reason I post this is because i'm bored and we are a little short on Hayden new's today.

Hayden Panettiere Is No Hollywood “It” Girl

With the continued success of her hit television series Heroes, Hayden Panettiere is quickly becoming what many consider the newest Hollywood “It” girl.

But Hayden doesn’t want to hear it. “Don’t call me that. I don’t want to be called that,” Panettiere told press while in Munich a few days after her 18th birthday.

Nonetheless, there’s something about her that’s drawn acclaim in the professional world, leading to what she terms an “invasion” into her personal life.

“Hollywood is like playing the game of telephone. You say one thing and by the time it gets to the end it’s something so far from what you said,” the Claire Bennet actress told press, adding, “A lot has changed. It becomes kind of an invasion of your personal life.”

And when asked about the most hurtful thing ever written about her, Hayden responded, “Probably that I’m a snotty little girl and I’m a diva, which is so far from true. I think people think they have the right to judge people based on something somebody else has said about them. The fact that you can judge whether you like that person or not by something you read about them is ridiculous. It’s completely immature. It’s hurtful and the fact people can be so dumb and naive is just shocking to me.”

Hayden Panettiere @ DECLARE YOURSELF 2008

Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere attends the “Declare Yourself 2008 Celebrates 18″ event at the Beverly Hills Cultural Center on Thursday wearing a cute, ruffled teal dress.

Declare Yourself is the national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign to energize and empower every eligible 18-year-old in America to register and vote in the 2008 presidential election

Hayden Panettiere Gets Political

In a day and age when the young adult population is vastly underrepresented, stars like Hayden Panettiere are pulling out all the stops in an effort to motivate their peers to vote.

The Heroes hottie was spotted at Norman Lear’s Declare Yourself party last night at the Beverly Hills Cultural Center. And the night was filled with celebrity political fun.

Joining Hayden were a newly-blonde Rumer Willis and Kristen Bell, amongst other politically minded celebs. The event kicked off the Hollywood Celebrates 18 campaign.

Of course, every hopping party needs a slamming DJ. And last night’s turntables were manned by none other than Nick Canon.

Quote Of The Day

“The other day in Paris I had these two young girls that just… couldn’t have been more than sixteen or seventeen years old just telling me I’m sexy. That was kind of bizarre. Very strange. To be a thirty year old man having a teenager say you’re sexy is like… thank you. I appreciate it? Thank you.’”

- Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia, who is rumored to be dating just-turned 18 co-star Hayden Panettiere, tells the BBC

All She Wants to Do is Work

Hayden Panetierre has been working her butt off, making the rounds to promote the new season of Heroes. Here she is outside of Live with Regis and Kelly, signing a water bottle for a fan.

Hayden and Milo - Deny the Rumors

Hayden looked happy to be back on the set after her stint in NY promoting Heroes. Now that she's finished another big round of appearances and interviews, we bet she'll be glad to avoid those questions about her rumored relationship with Milo. While she and Milo are staying mum, their co-stars James Kyson Lee (Ando) and Adrian Pasdar (Nathan) recently came to their defense. Here's more:

James said: "The rumor is not true. Let's just end it there. I think we were just surprised because they're 12 years apart – for people to even conceive that. I know there have been a lot of jokes, Hayden turning 18 and whatnot. At some point, you just have to let it go, and respect their privacy."

Adrian said: "They're friends. We were in Europe together and I'm kind of a surrogate dad to her and anything inappropriate would not have happened on my watch," said Pasdar. He added that if it had, "I would have had to sit them both down and talk to them."

Is it just us, or is there something a bit off about Ando's denial here? Why say end it and then keep talking? Nathan is a little more convincing, but we'll wait to hear it from Hayden or Milo's mouth and notice how quiet they are being about the topic. Hmmm.

Heroic Hayden.

Despite her on-screen prowess, the actress is hurt by the 'It Girl' label. Steve Pennells reports.

HAYDEN PANETTIERE ticks all the right boxes. She's young, attractive, has a hit show and a strong fan following.

When her Hollywood contemporaries crashed and burned around her, the Heroes star reluctantly found herself crowned the industry's new It Girl.
"Don't call me that. I don't want to be called that," she said last month, sitting back in one of Munich's top hotels a few days after her 18th birthday.

Over the past few months, Panettiere has found out the hard way the baggage that comes with a label pre-worn by Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. The US press portrays her as everything from homely teenager to spoilt brat. Online criticism is particularly vicious. She is seen as a partying Lolita, a view not helped when a provocative photo of her graced the cover of UK's FHM last month when she was still 17.

It doesn't matter that none of it is true (Panettiere still lives with her parents and shuns the party circuit). The label has stuck.

The TV veteran has been acting since she was five but she says she never expected the frenzy that has surrounded her since she took on the role of cheerleader Claire Bennet in the hit show Heroes.

"A lot has changed. It becomes kind of an invasion of your personal life," she says.

Born in New York, Panettiere started appearing in commercials when she was 11 months old. She starred as Ally McBeal's long-lost daughter in that show's final season and as Jessica in Malcolm in the Middle. She has been in more than 12 movies.

But it is her role as the regenerating cheerleader in Heroes - a drama about ordinary people who discover they have superpowers - that has turned her into one of Hollywood's hottest stars and an unwitting target for an obsessive media and internet fan base.

Over recent weeks, concerned Heroes cast members have rallied around Panettiere during a world tour to promote the DVD release and upcoming second season.

Masi Oka, who plays Hiro on the show, labelled the British media "a bunch of perverts" for turning the teenager into a men's mag sex symbol. "She's only 18. I remember 1989 - I was in high school," he says.

And Jack Coleman, who plays her adoptive father, also hit out at the treatment dished out to his co-star: "It is shocking what they say about Hayden and young girls in particular. There is a ruthlessness which is so ugly. It is amazing the grace with which she handles this."

Panettiere says she has decided to deal with it by not reading much of what is written about her.
"Hollywood is like playing the game of telephone. You say one thing and by the time it gets to the end it's something so far from what you said. If you want any self-esteem at the end of the day, you don't look at that stuff."

And the most hurtful thing that has been written?

"Probably that I'm a snotty little girl and I'm a diva, which is so far from true."

"I think people think they have the right to judge people based on something somebody else has said about them. The fact that you can judge whether you like that person or not by something you read about them is ridiculous. It's completely immature. It's hurtful and the fact people can be so dumb and naive is just shocking to me."

Heroes executive producer Dennis Hammer, an Aaron Spelling veteran who started his career on The Love Boat and watched over Panettiere during the recent world tour, says the public is to blame for the increasing obsession.

"They do buy magazines when these people are on the cover and they do enjoy watching rich, young, privileged people fall down. They love that," he says.

The media allocation of the It-Girl label to Hollywood's recent train wrecks and to Panettiere continues to upset the teenage star. She says: "If that's what they mean, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, then no, I don't want to be called that. I think that's what Hollywood has become and I think it's a shame. I think those were unfortunate people who didn't have good people surrounding them."

When asked about the cast, Panettiere smiles. "They've been protective. Very protective. We are closer than you could ever imagine. All of us. Ninety per cent of the time in TV that's not how it is."

She says she didn't have that feeling on Ally McBeal, her first major prime-time role. She had turned up in the last season and the cast had been already well-established.

The camaraderie on Heroes, which the entire cast repeatedly refer to, is an unexpected bonus.
Panettiere admits she took on the role to boost her film career.

"To be completely honest, when I first thought of doing a TV show, it was because of the fact that when you go out for films, a lot of the time they want people with names," she says.

"And a lot of names and followings come off of people from TV shows. I thought if I'm going to get involved in a show, I might as well do it while I'm young. I got into a TV show at a really good time. And a really good show, if I do say so myself."

Co-Star: Hayden Panettiere, Milo Ventimiglia Not Dating

Unlike Heidi Montag, someone’s nose is growing.

When celebrity news reporters broached the topic of romance rumors between two stars of Heroes - Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere - all they got were emphatic lies denials.

A co-star of Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia quickly shot down the recent rumblings (as well as a video closely analyzed by fans) that the 18-year-old actress and her 30-year-old co-star were excitedly, undeniably getting busy on the dance floor.

“Let’s just end it here. The rumor is not true,” co-star James Kyson Lee, who plays Ando, said to People at Tuesday’s Lift Up America Meet Me in Miami premiere in Hollywood.

Riiiiiiight. And O.J. Simpson didn’t not not kill nobody!

James Kyson Lee added about the romance talk: “I think we were just surprised because they’re 12 years apart - for people to even conceive that… I know there have been a lot of jokes, Hayden turning 18 and whatnot. At some point, you just have to let it go, and respect their privacy.”

Mmm hmm. Expect us never to start rumors based on video evidence - he’s all over her in the damn video - about celebrities ever again at T.H. Gossip.

Hayden Panettiere Used to Turn Tricks.

A self-respecting Hayden Panettiere blocks the paparazzi cameras from getting any lip shots while arriving at the CNN Studios for her Larry King Live interview in New York yesterday.

Personally I prefer the Hayden who turned tricks for designer outfits, as seen on a rerun episode of “Law & Order: SVU” last night. Once you got past the fact that she was 15, the visual of balls slapping her from behind became quite entertaining.

Hayden Panettiere Is a Robot.

Did you guys see the premiere of “Heroes” monday night?! Amazing. Claire won’t be able to keep her secret for much longer if she keeps doing breaking bones and repairing them in front of people.

Save Hayden from the Hancock Hounds!

Hayden Panettiere, as video evidence suggests, is just about the nicest 18-year-old ever, but New York is really testing her limits.

Just a day after she dropped an F-bomb on paps for causing a crazy crush, Hayden did her heroic best to keep autograph seekers at bay on her way out of town at JFK airport. One particular pest had her sign what seemed like an entire stack of snaps, only to persist as she tried to make her way to the gate.

Her only force field, in the end, was the fancy-people's check-in lounge, where the autographerazzi couldn't touch her.

Claire And Peter Bump Pink Parts.

As the newest little buzz around Hayden Panettiere is that she's opened up her heart and her vagina for co-star, Milo Ventimiglia:

Hayden and Milo get cozy, comfy and intimate at the Duran Duran concert staged at Disney Hall in downtown Los Angeles, an official after-party of the Emmy Awards. They seem quite in love as they touch and take pictures in the midst of the crowd, and towards the end of the sequence Hayden spots our tiny video camera recording it all across the crowded hall.Eh.

I mean, sure, they're dancing. And they take a picture together. And she rubs her newly legal tushy all up on his d...but I'm not sure any of this merits the captions of "secret love" or "lovers" that were so cleverly added to the video. I'm disappointed, to be sure. Not only was there none of the "intimacy" promised, but they certainly didn't appear to be "quite in love," and there was absolutely no sign of crumping. I saw Bring it On: All or Nothing, Hayden. I expect better of you. Namely, I expect you to bring it.

Hollywood Hotties Hayden, Hilary Hang

They’re talented, they’re cute and they’re 37 years old … combined! After a day of cheering on the set of Heroes. Hayden Panettiere engages a fellow young starlet, Hilary Duff in conversation at Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood party Thursday.

In addition to Hayden and Hilary Duff, we’re guessing Teen Vogue intern Lauren Conrad and her boss, Whitney Port, were on hand for the event. Although at 21, LC might consider herself a little old for the “young Hollywood” set.

YOU'RE NOT FOOLING US, HAYDEN PANETTIERE AND MILO VENTIMIGLIA

That trip to Europe publicizing Heroes changed everything for Hayden Panettiere and her costar Milo Ventimiglia.

It must have been MIGHTY romantic and we just learned the details about what happened when they came back. (Check out that body language, in attached picture.)

Hayden and her boyfriend Stephen Colletti (One Tree Hill) went to Les Deux to celebrate her return and things went immediately bad. He must have been suspicious about Milo because he started SCREAMING at Hayden in the club.

A witness said the veins in his neck were sticking out. After he finished his tirade he stormed out (for GOOD), but Hayden remained calm.

Minutes later Milo strolled in and sat down with Hayden. They partied as if nothing happened and left holding hands.

Milo and Hayden are making a feeble attempt to keep the romance under wraps, but we all saw them sitting side by side at the Emmys, didn't we?

Hayden Panettiere Makes Death Threats

When she's not telling Dorothy about the yellow brick road or preparing for the Olympics with the Russian gymnastics team, Hayden Panettiere spends her time threatening to kill people. Specifically, the person who wrote this article. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello says:

Question: To help me cope with the fact that Heroes didn't win anything, could you please tell me which Heroes heroine nearly came to blows with a reporter on the red carpet? - Danielle

Ausiello: Man, you guys are asking all the right questions this week. It's almost like you can read my blog mind. Anyway, it was the unbreakable Hayden Panettiere who threatened to "kill" a staffer from Us Weekly over something she wrote about her in a recent issue....Just when it looked like Hayden was about to pull a Sylar on said reporter's skull, her quick-thinking publicist grabbed her and scolded, "Not on the red carpet." It was a classic Hollywood moment - and one I predict will be streaming all over the Internet by week's end."

Whoa, how frightening that must have been. I wouldn't know what I'd do if Hayden Panettiere was screaming at me. Maybe I'd shake a rattle or do a funny face. Or maybe I'd heat up a bottle. Awww, the little thing is sooo grumpy!

Panettiere Joins Lear's Political Party

Hayden Panettiere's legal status served as an ongoing joke at last Sunday's Emmy Awards telecast but the Heroes starlet is working hard to stop the laughs surrounding her 18th birthday.

She is scheduled to join America Ferrerra and other celeb names at a Sept. 27 private political party for Norman Lear's Declare Yourself organization.

The bash kicks off Hollywood Celebrates 18 campaign and will be held at the Beverly Hills Cultural Center. It's still a party and young voters will be able to act their age and dance to beats by fellow legal deejay Nick Cannon.

Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia Create Impossibly Multisyllabic Celeb Couple Name

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere might be only three apples high, but she will kill you. KILL YOU. TV Guide gives jeers, reporting that the wee sprite got a little angry on the red carpet at the Emmys:

Hayden Panettiere threatened to “kill” a staffer from Us Weekly over something she wrote about her in a recent issue. Just when it looked like Hayden was about to pull a Sylar on said reporter’s skull, her quick-thinking publicist grabbed her and scolded, “Not on the red carpet.” It was a classic Hollywood moment — and one I predict will be streaming all over the Internet by week’s end.

Another thing streaming all over the internet: urine! No, just kidding. Maybe. But it has been widely speculated that Hayden has been hooking up with much-older Heroes costar, the stroke-mouthed Milo Ventimiglia, although their respective reps assert that they're "just friends". However, at a post-Emmys party in L.A. on Sunday, they were caught whispering, grinding, dancing, and nuzzling like a couple of damn horses

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hCdonsJAGA

She's 18. He's 30. Aside from their jobs, what could these two possibly have in common? What do you think they're talking about here? Milo's probably whispering, "This song is so awesome. Duran Duran was the first cassingle I ever bought." And Hayden's saying, "Cassingle? What's a Duran Duran? The first CD I bought was Christina Aguilera when I was in middle school four years ago. Iphone Misshapes Louis Vuitton MySpace!!!!!"

Hayden Panettiere is a cheerleader

Here’s Hayden Panettiere running around in a cheerleader outfit on the set of Heroes. I put this up because I know some of you guys like this girl even though she’s pretty average. In two years time, she’ll develop an eating disorder because I called her arms chubby. Yep, that’s me. Lowering women’s self-esteem one 18-year-old at a time.

Don’t Be a Player Hayden

We really post this picture of Hayden Panettiere two reasons.

The first reason is it reminded us of those cheerleading sneakers they used to sell in the 80s, where you could change the colored triangle pieces on the side to your own customizable colors. I always wanted a pair of those sneakers, but sadly, never became a cheerleader, and never received them. I DID, however, manage to score some sweet antique bow resin for the violin my parents forced me to play for company. Schindler’s List theme, anyone?

The second reason I’m posting it is it’s the weekend, and I figured I’d throw a bone to you die-hard Heroes fans/pedophiles out there. Have a great one!

Beginning Of Something Bad?

Stay away from our Duffster! You will corrupt her!

Hollywood bad girl Hayden Panettiere was spotted out partying together in Hollywood on

Thursday night.

This spells trouble!

The above was posted on perezhilton.com ever since Hayden made it public that she doe's not like Perez Hilton he has gone out of his way to slam Hayden, do you thnk what he say's is true?

I personally think its BS, and he has a pesonal vendetta against her, jealousy is a disease i hope he gets better soon.

Hot Couple of the Minute: Hayden and Milo

So the just barely legal Hayden Panetierre recently split from Laguna Beach's Stephen Colletti, 21, and there have been rumors flying that she's dating her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia, 30. She has denied them, but they are constantly photographed looking extra friendly and seem to spend more that just work time together. Here they are dancing together at some party, with Hayden rubbing his head and, what looks like, Milo kissing her neck. Damn he's a craddle robber! He previously dated another younger starlet, Alexis Bledel, for about 3 years.

Hayden and Hilary Whole Lotta Hotness.

Two helpings of hot young stuff! Hilary Duff and Hayden Panettiere were servin' it up outside Vibiana in downtown L.A. last night for a Teen Vogue party -- when that Evil Nicole doppelganger started scolding a TMZ photog! What on earth could she be mad about?

While the Richie clone was building up steam, "Lizzie McGuire" and the invincible cheerleader posed for an adorable pic, with Hilary rocking her French art student look, and Hayden looking, well, 18. C'est magnifique!

Hayden See's Red On Carpet.

On Heroes, she can suffer any amount of damage and walk away smiling.
But it remains to be seen if butter-wouldn't-melt-in-her-mouth teen Hayden Panettiere can bounce back from a red carpet outburst at a journalist.
The star of the Channel 7 hit, reportedly incensed by a story in a recent issue, threatened to "kill" the writer in a head-turning outburst at the Emmys.
Only the actions of her quick-thinking publicist stopped the fuming Panettiere from going further.
"Not on the red carpet," the publicist said to Panettiere, before leading her elsewhere.
Bitchy celebrity blogger Perez Hilton hit out against the young star.
"We told you that Hayden was going to be the next Lohan, and now she's well on her way," he wrote.
Perhaps it was a Us Weekly report about Panettiere's love life that had her out of sorts.
It said she was back on the market after splitting with her boyfriend of one year, Laguna Beach co-star Stephen Colletti, 21.
"But the actress (who spent the end of August promoting Heroes in Europe with co-stars Milo Ventimiglia and Adrian Pasdar) seems to have moved on," the mag reported.
"When Us asked, 'Where's Stephen?' at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9, she furrowed her brow and replied: 'I don't know. In California?'
"Maybe it's because she had time to adjust to the relationship being over. "
As a source tells Us, 'Their break-up has been a long time coming.' But that doesn't mean the former sweethearts are feuding.
"Panettiere tells Us, 'We are still very close friends and talk to each other frequently. We appreciate and support each other's careers'."

Hayden Brings Out Her Bitch(es)

Sweet and innocent little Hayden Panettiere was all smiles on Thursday when we caught her walking her dogs. Good thing we didn't make any comments about her failed relationship with Stephen! Is the public gonna let her "Off The Hook" for her alleged death threat on the red carpet?

Hayden Panettiere & Stephen Colletti Reunite?

HALO DISASTER! HALO DISASTER! HALO DISASTER! HALO DISASTER!

Things just a whole lot more interesting for Heroes couple costars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventmiglia, aka Halo.

Who showed up at Thursday night’s Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party held at Vibiana LA? None other than Hayden AND her ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti (Laguna Beach, TRL). They pair did not pose together with cameras but they had to have run into each other at the event.

So what does this mean for Halo?? Possibly something, possibly nothing. What do you think??
